Salt pour ceremony and family fun at St Richard’s Festival

St Richard’s Festival will be held in town from Friday May 4th until Sunday May 6th, with plenty of activities in the town centre and the Vines Park.

Droitwich Arts Network is supporting an activity on Sunday 6th when Mary Jenkins and Rhys Jones will be working with Katy Beinart as part of The Ring Project. The attached poster gives all the information.

Do come along and watch the salt pouring at 11 am, and visit our gazebo to see our family-oriented salt activity.

Saltways is a public art commission for the Canal & River Trust by artist Katy Beinart that celebrates the canal and salt heritage of Droitwich. A sculpture, based on the old saltworks factories, will be transported by boat to Droitwich, and filed with salt from all over the world and
locally produced Droitwich salt in a special event on 6th May at the St Richards Festival.
The artwork will then be exhibited at the Droitwich Heritage Centre & Salt Museum,
and will depart by boat in September 2018.

Saturday 14th July: Artists talk and family activities at Droitwich Heritage Centre
