Ruth & Stewart Bourne exhibition at The Old Library

This month’s artists are photographers Stewart Bourne ARPS and Ruth Bourne LRPS. Stewart’s images of Birmingham on canvas in the Hall are from his ongoing Metropolis series. Ruth’s smaller format images in the cafe area are a triptych of New York scenes and a stylish Bilbao bar.
Ruth and Stewart are members of the Droitwich Arts Network and also of the f.action group whose work can currently be seen at County Hall, Spetchley.

Having served 3 years at Mosley Art School, Birmingham, rather than moving to Art College, Peter who was fifteen at the time had the opportunity to start as an apprentice in an independent art studio. This beginning in Max Studios was the beginning of a 48 year career. Working as an artist in advertising and producing artwork for many leading Midland agencies and companies including Cadbury Schweppes, Dunlop, Pilkington, Sellafield, Bryant Homes and many other well known names.

‘No Regrets’ at The Norbury Theatre

Saturday 13th February Linder Productions present NO REGRETS – THE LIFE STORY AND SONGS OF EDITH PIAF A celebration of the life story and songs of the iconic French chanteuse Edith Piaf, who rose from the backstreets of Paris to become the most highly paid female entertainer of her time! Not a typical tribute show, this stunning piece of theatre contains a “beautifully crafted narration,” telling the fascinating story of the “Little Sparrow” who’s inimitable style and charisma has inspired performers all over the world!

Artrix Summer Exhibition 2016

Artrix Exhibition 2016 will be held from 11th July to 15th August 2016 in Artrix, Bromsgrove. Artrix Summer Exhibition 2015 was a great success, attracting over 80 submissions. There was excellent feedback from visitors and artists alike. What made this exhibition different is the fact that team of 13 Young Curators benefitted from their first experience curating an exhibition and several of those artists exhibiting have once again gone on to book solo exhibitions with Artrix.
