Katherine Harris’ textiles in Park’s Café

Katherine Harris displays her artwork in Park’s Café from 2 until 30 May. Katherine’s work has been concerned with capturing the atmosphere inherent in old buildings using a variety of media including fabric, paper, paint, metal. print and machine or hand embroidery. She trained at The University of Reading, Falmouth School of Art & Design and Herefordshire College of Art & Design where in 1993 she won the Governors’ Prize for Craftsmanship.

Stewart Bourne’s photographs on The Photographic Angle’s touring exhibition

DAN member Stewart Bourne’s work is currently on tour with The Photographic Angle’s Monochrome “pop-up” exhibition.

The first of these was held in Swindon, where four of Stewart’s 6 selected photographs were on show among two floors of beautifully presented and very varied images [and the attached photos taken].

Lyn Davies’ painting in the Library

Lyn Davies presents his portrait of the actor David Tennant on the ground floor in the library. This portrait is made with acrylics and is the first Lyn’s portrait of a celebrity.

Lyn Davies was into art since his chilhood as he always liked to paint and draw. Later in his life he enrolled various watercolour painting classes and get introduced to wide range of media and techniques.

Paul Jones in The Meetbox

The Meetbox has a new featured artist exhibition for the next  6 weeks. This time photographer Paul Jones selected 9 of his pictures of the local area. He has a special interest in landscape and architecture and many of his photos are of Droitwich Spa, local villages and churches.
