New exhibition of Cindy Williams in the Old Library

DAN member Cindy Williams from Redditch has a selection of her pastel paintings on display in the Old Library. Cindy is specialising in black and white paintings of Hollywood silent movie divas from 1920s and 1930s. The glamour, beauty and elegance of the movie stars is the greatest inspiration for Cindy’s art work. She is a prolific artist who is very keen to improve her skills by taking part in art workshops, courses, demonstrations by well-known artists…

The exhibition will be open until 27th June in the Old Library, 65 Ombersley Street East, Droitwich Spa.

Tina Watkins in The Old Library

Tina Watkins is a self-taught artist who restarted painting in 2003 at the Jane Powell Gallery in Kenilworth. She has won the Kenilworth Festival 2010 Arts Show prize and the Andrew Davies ‘best in show’ award for one of her portraits of Sir Tom Jones. She has seen work selected for numerous exhibitions in the Warwickshire area, including the prestigious Coventry Arts Consortium at the Herbert Art Gallery.

Ruth & Stewart Bourne exhibition at The Old Library

This month’s artists are photographers Stewart Bourne ARPS and Ruth Bourne LRPS. Stewart’s images of Birmingham on canvas in the Hall are from his ongoing Metropolis series. Ruth’s smaller format images in the cafe area are a triptych of New York scenes and a stylish Bilbao bar.
Ruth and Stewart are members of the Droitwich Arts Network and also of the f.action group whose work can currently be seen at County Hall, Spetchley.
