Droitwich ArtsFest Organiser given 2017 Wychavon Community Arts Award

Rhys Jones has been announced as the winner of the 2017 Wychavon Community Arts Recognition Award. The award was for his work organising Droitwich ArtsFest 2017. Rhys, pictured with Councillor Liz Eyre Chairman of Wychavon District Council, received his award at Peopleton Village Hall on the 8th March. The award acknowledges the contribution of many people to the success of last year’s Droitwich ArtsFest that lasted three weeks.

ArtsFest 2018 will last four weeks and five weekends.

Wychavon has a population of about 120,000 and is made up of the three towns of Droitwich Spa, Evesham and Pershore, and nearly 100 villages and hamlets. Wychavon covers the south and eastern part of the county of Worcestershire and is the largest of the six Worcestershire districts.
