DAN exhibition in Droitwich Library

The exhibition of Droitwich Arts Network members in the Library is the last event of the ArtsFest 2017. The exhibition was organised with the open call to all full DAN members and groups to submit their works in any 2D technique.

The exhibition is set up on 1 August with 43 artworks by 24 local artists. The selection included watercolours and acrylic paintings, pencils and coloured pencils drawings, pastels, photography and textiles. The visitors appreciated mostly this variety in techniques and styles and we have received very positive and supportive comments.

Thanks to DAN communication team, the exhibition was featured in the local newspapers (printed and online issues) which are keen to promote arts and artists in Droitwich and surrounding areas.

A catalogue that accompanied the exhibition

Due to a bad weather on a day of Artist-in-View event on 5 August, instead of showing and creating art in Victoria Square, DAN artists have spend a day in the library. That was a great opportunity for us to meet the exhibition visitors, hear first-hand impressions and have a chat about the art and DAN activities.

DAN member Tina Watkins is working on her new pastel painting.

The exhibition is open until 1 September.
