Jacqui Morley-Brooker’s photography in The Button Tree Café

Jacqui Morley Brooker1A freelance photographer Jacqui Morley-Brooker currently has a display at The Button Tree Café in Droitwich throughout October 2015. Jacqui says about her beginnings in photography, “I’ve been interested in photography since I was late teens (long before digital photography was dreamt of) and only progressed into using a DSLR 3 years ago.  In the past year I have started  entering photography competitions and exhibit my work which has been a scary step to start putting my work ‘out there’ for public scrutiny.”

Mail Art Exhibition “Connection is Made…”

The idea of Mail Art Exhibition came to me for two main reasons. The first one because I always liked the idea of exchanging art and connecting with other artists. The second reason was absolutely perfect format of mail art that I was considering as ideal to make a connection between artists in Droitwich Spa and a twin town Voiron in France. That was only the beginning.

Paintings by Penny Dykes in Park’s Café

The exhibition of local artist Penny Dykes is on during October in Park’s café, Victoria Square. Penny exhibits 15 new watercolours and pastels, among them a lovely watercolours “My Kitchen Vase”, “Old Field Shelter, Elmbridge” and “The Flock”.

Penny Dykes began to paint on her retirement in 2003. Her inspiration comes from her interests and daily life. As a keen gardener, wildlife enthusiast, poultry and sheep keeper, she loves to tranfer flowers, animals and landscapes into her artworks.

Hanbury Hall exhibition – Call for Artists

Droitwich Arts Network members have an opportunity to exhibit their works on the annual exhibition in Long Gallery at Hanbury Hall from 17th to 22nd October 2015. This prestigious event attracted a large number of visitors last year. Members are invited to participate and show their newest artworks. Poets and authors are invited to observe the exhibition to inspire their work.
