Watercolour silhouette painting by Dot Humphries

Droitwich library hosts a new mini-exhibition of DAN member Dorothy Humphries. She will have her watercolour silhouette ‘The Goose Girl’ on display in period of 3 – 17 September on the ground floor of the library.

Dorothy said about her picture: “I painted it from a photograph taken about 13 years ago, of my Grand daughter Lydia Alice, she was feeding a swan or goose (can’t remember!) in Vines Park. I painted it soon after taking the photograph, remembered it and decided to do it again, I enjoyed doing it the first time so much.”

Karen Barlow in Droitwich library

Karen Barlow will display her painting “Colourful Culture” in Droitwich library for the next two weeks, started with 25th June. Karen’s painting is inspired by African tribal art and it is made in combination of acrylics, tissue and melon seeds. Quite unusual and bold painting, certainly worth to take a look when you next time in the library.
