Shop at Tesco and help raise £4,000 for ArtsFest 2018

Droitwich ArtsFest has been selected by Tesco to be part of its “Bags of Help” Scheme during March and April.

Please make as many small purchases as you can from your local Tesco store, obtain a token, and vote for Droitwich ArtsFest. You do not need to buy a bag. We will be up against two other organisations. The winner will receive a grant of £4,000.

Spending a lot of money at once provides one token. Spending a small amount of money provides one token. Therefore you can increase our chances of success by making many visits to buy small items. Our nearest store is Tesco Express in Mulberry Tree Hill, off Primsland Way, Droitwich WR9 7SS.

Although most ArtsFest events are free to attend it costs a significant amount of money to deliver the festival. Last year it cost about £5,000 to deliver 3 weeks and 4 weekends of events. ArtsFest 2018 starts on Saturday 30 June and will last 4 weeks and 5 weekends, ending on Saturday 28 July. The current cost estimate is over £7,000. That is why we need your help!

New Bookmarks for ArtsFest 2018

During January 2018 we will be distributing these bookmarks to inform people of the dates of Droitwich ArtsFest 2018. The bookmarks were designed and paid for by Fresh Nous.

The photo shows both sides of the bookmark. They will be made available at various places in Droitwich Spa town centre. If you would like a number of bookmarks for members of a club or society, please contact us by sending an email to artsfest@droitwichartsnetwork.org

Droitwich ArtsFest starts on Saturday 30th June 2018 and finishes on Saturday 28th July 2018.

ArtsFest 2017 summary

The summary of very successful ArtsFest 2017 was written by the organiser Rhys Jones. It collects information about all events that have been organised during three weeks of the festival, day by day. Also, it has a list of sponsors and grants that helped the Artsfest to happen. The text is accompanied by photographs taken by Rhys and other local photographers.

DAN exhibition in Droitwich Library

The exhibition of Droitwich Arts Network members in the Library is the last event of the ArtsFest 2017. The exhibition was organised with the open call to all full DAN members and groups to submit their works in any 2D technique.

The exhibition is set up on 1 August with 43 artworks by 24 local artists. The selection included watercolours and acrylic paintings, pencils and coloured pencils drawings, pastels, photography and textiles. The visitors appreciated mostly this variety in techniques and styles and we have received very positive and supportive comments.
