Welcome to our new Website!
17th June – Show and Tell
On 17th June at 11am members will show and tell us about their work. This will be an online session using Zoom, so you need to register by replying to the invitation sent to members by email.
So far we have three volunteers: Alan Davey will show and talk about a sculpture; Claire Hilton will talk about her involvement with Worcester Arts; and Rhys Jones will explain why black and white photography can be more interesting than colour, and demonstrate various ways of creating mono images.
COVID 19 Announcement
For the safety of our members and following government advice all DAN meetings and events in the programme are suspended until further notice. Exhibitions in local venues are also cancelled until cafés and Droitwich library are allowed to reopen. We are very sorry for those who have missed out but we hope to provide further opportunities soon.
Due to government restrictions the committee has decided hold meetings online using Zoom. A simple guide to using Zoom has been sent to all members and can be found in the Members’ Area of this website. If you are unsure about how to use Zoom, contact any member of the committee and we can arrange an online familiarisation session.
It is with much sadness that we have learned that Shaun Best has passed away. It was a huge shock for everyone and of course devastating for his wife and family. Shaun was very involved with the music life of Droitwich Spa and always supportive of DAN activities. This photo was taken during his time as Mayor of Droitwich when he opened ArtsFest 2017.
One of the most successful collaborations between Shaun and Droitwich Arts Network was the “Last Night of the Proms” event held on 28th July 2018, which raised funds for essential repairs to St Andrew’s Church.
